Field experiments are the core of WP3 — the phase where knowledge becomes action. Based on the discrimination typology developed in WP2, UNDETERRED tests concrete changes inside real organisations across the four cities.
The principle
Each experiment is designed collaboratively with an institution that was already involved in the research phase — a university, a housing service, an employer, a public administration. The goal is to implement and evaluate specific changes to rules, procedures or practices identified as producing unintentional discrimination.
Not controlled lab conditions. Real organisations, real constraints, real change.
Barcelona Workshop — December 2025
A 4-day working session at Pompeu Fabra University (2–5 December 2025) brought together research teams from Bordeaux, Barcelona, Bucharest and Québec to prepare the transition from WP2 to WP3.
Key outcomes:
- Test analyses conducted on the discrimination typology
- Agreement on a shared glossary to ensure consistent application across all partner sites
- Confirmation that experiments will be context- and sector-specific, designed in close collaboration with institutional actors
Status
WP3 experiments are currently being designed and launched across the four cities.
This page will be updated as pilots are implemented and results become available.
