The Challenge
Where does invisible
discrimination hide?
01
Housing
Discriminatory access to housing through seemingly neutral rules about income, guarantors and rental criteria.
02
Health
Unequal access to healthcare shaped by language barriers, digital literacy gaps and administrative complexity.
03
Employment
Hiring practices, evaluation criteria and workplace culture that reproduce inequalities without explicit intent.
04
Education
Institutional mechanisms that limit access and success for young adults from minority and migrant backgrounds.
Our approach
Research that leads to real change

«From field evidence to concrete policy tools»
UNDETERRED combines rigorous academic inquiry with hands-on co-design, transforming findings into tools that cities, institutions and organisations can use immediately.
Map & Collect (WP1)Gathering socio-economic data across partner cities to understand local discrimination contexts.
Analyse & Understand (WP2)Building empirical knowledge on systemic and non-intentional discrimination mechanisms.
Experiment & Test (WP3)Co-designing and field-testing solutions with institutional partners and young people.
Disseminate & Impact (WP4)Sharing results widely to influence policy and practice across Europe.
Project and data management (WP5)Manage quantitative data of the project
Ethical requirements for research (WP6)The aim is to ensure that the ethical requirements of the research are met.
Impact & Policy
From evidence
to action
Policy Tools
Practical frameworks, toolkits and recommendations designed for public institutions, HR departments and city administrations.
Field Experiments
Pilot programmes co-designed with partner cities and organisations to test and validate innovative approaches.
Cities in Action
How Bordeaux Métropole, partner NGOs and institutions are implementing UNDETERRED’s findings in real-world policies.
