We recently concluded a productive 2-day workshop, hosted by the University of Bucharest at CEREFREA Villa Noël, on 8-9 April 2026, bringing together members of the research teams and institutional partners involved in WP3. The participating institutions were Pompeu Fabra University, the University of Bucharest, the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux Métropole, URHAJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and Carusel Association.

The first day was dedicated to updates from each city team on the work carried out so far, with attention to the challenges encountered on the ground and to any adjustments the experimentation activities may require in light of local conditions.

The second day was structured around four main points of discussion: the links between the model and typology developed in earlier phases of the project and the ongoing experimentation activities; updates on the questionnaire across all participating cities; WP3 reports by city team; and a review of the project’s deliverables, with clarified responsibilities and a shared working schedule.

Participants also visited the Grivița-Cișmigiu Community Centre, run by the Carusel Association, which provides social assistance and essential services to people facing extreme poverty and related vulnerabilities, without any conditions, a principle that directly aligns with the project’s concerns about systemic barriers to inclusion.

We look forward to continuing this joint effort as the experimentation phase of WP3 takes shape across all participating cities.
